Popular Travel Apps are Exposing Sensitive Data of Millions of Users, Report

A report on alleged security flaws in major ride-sharing and travel apps

In this report, PrivacySavvy states that its security tests on many of the widely-used ride-sharing and travel apps revealed major security vulnerabilities.

"PrivacySavvy tested the security of over 20 of the world’s leading travel apps to understand how they manage users’ privacy and security risks. Unfortunately, most of them failed."

While PrivacySavvy declined to name the apps tested, the report does reveal that they have a combined total of 105 million users.

This lack of basic security measures in traveling apps is not only shocking but also shows a total disregard for standard security practices these apps say they carry
